One look at this theater and the challenge here becomes apparent: that’s a lot of seating and a big room. The Zene team was tasked with creating a space that could deliver sound that would rival that of any nearby commercial cinema – and the budget was a bit limited for that particular request.
We’ll let the integrator explain their process:
“We chose Krix X series speakers and QSC professional grade amps for this project. These products are usually used in commercial cinema’s VIP rooms (a feature of cinemas common in this part of the world) which are about the same size as this theater room. The client was very happy about the sound performance and he spoke highly on the dynamics of the system.”
The Zene Private Theater team also had to be creative with sound isolation when it came to a room of this size and budget, and the construction of multiple walls inside this room’s footprint did the trick. The next challenge: delivering reliable power to all the components. Zene achieved this using three individual electric circuits for the rack and one for the projector.
The result: A gorgeous cinema with a screen bright enough and sound big enough to provide an “Oh, wow!” experience to no less than 34 people. In addition to the creative solutions at work here, CEDIA’s judges noted that there’s a great “feel” to this movie-watching environment: It’s an inviting space.
