This project is one of the most honored CEDIA Award-winners ever, tallying no less than five trophies, including Best Media Room, Level II (Asia Pacific), Best Lighting System, and Best Documentation. CEDIA’s judges were so impressed, in fact, they also handed this project the CEDIA Global Award for Media Room. It’s the best in the world.
Adding this award means that Boutique AV hasn’t just made an impression on judges who consider the technology alone – this honor’s given by a separate panel of judges drawn from an international pool of top-shelf architects and interior designers.
CEDIA’s Technology Meets Design award honors the best integration of technology that complements the design scheme for the room or home. The judges look for projects that show a successful working partnership with the integrator and design and build industry partners.
The concept here involved a three-screen solution that mimicked “Mr. Client’s” work setup, but on a grander scale. Those three screens can operate together or independently, and audio can be personalized via a headphone system that matches the video source. “Mrs. Client,” however, had an abiding love of Art Deco fixtures and finishes, and that’s where Boutique AV really stepped up. Every element in this room is bespoke, as the name implies, and the finished room is a brilliant marriage of up-to-the-moment technological solutions and retro vibes.
The care and planning taken in this project – which never impacted the heritage home that surrounds this space – is nothing short of stunning. It’s why nearly every aspect of this project won individual awards in addition to the honor of worldwide acclaim.
