Shanghai AV Style has constructed two dedicated home cinema showrooms over the past year, and decided to enter both finished rooms in the CEDIA Awards competition. Because the quality of the two rooms was so very similar, this made for a tough call for CEDIA’s judging panel: They refer to both entries as being “neck and neck.”
The firm notes that: “The overall indoor design is elegant with strong Chinese aesthetic features. The Chinese-style Xiangyun hollow ceiling and warm color Xiangyun carpets complement each other. If you prefer Chinese classical, this room is a perfect example of that style.”
“All the equipment is installed and calibrated behind transparent fabrics framed by mahogany.”
This room’s incredible look, its 7.2.4 immersive sound system, and its overall craftsmanship are just a smidge behind Shanghai AV Style’s other entry, the winner of the category. Only a few details in the equipment racks separate the two rooms.
